Katelyn Beaty

Katelyn is an author and editor at large for Christianity Today magazine. She served as Christianity Today’s youngest and first female managing editor, and has just released her first book, A Woman’s Place: A Christian Vision for Your Calling in the Office, the Home, and the World.

She presents a fresh new way for women— and the church— to think about work. In a world where women today inhabit every professional sphere, yet many still feel that work must be justified, she brings encouragement and wisdom to what is an often heated topic.

In her 9 years with Christianity Today, she was also the leader of This Is Our City and co-founder of Her.meneutics, a daily website covering news, cultural trends, and theology from the perspective of Christian women.

Katelyn has written for The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Books & Culture, Fare Forward, Q Ideas, and Cultural Encounters: A Journal for the Theology of Culture.

Obviously a lover of words— she believes they can change the world. Katelyn is a graduate of Calvin College, and lives outside Chicago, Illinois.
